Photogenic Competition

Florida Galaxy Delegates and Titleholders appear in print advertising throughout their year's reign.  As representatives of the Pageant, winners possess photographic appeal and ability to project an image consistent with beauty and elegance.  Your Competition Photo may be a headshot, full length, or ¾ length.  Your Competition Photo MUST look like you and not be overly enhanced.

Competition Photo may be handed in during Registration.

Interview Competition

Florida Galaxy Delegates and Titleholders must be articulate, with excellent social and conversational skills. Titleholders must be able to express themselves clearly, diplomatically, and must project a pleasant personality at all times.

Interviews will be "Panel Style", similar to a press conference.  Each Delegate will introduce herself and field questions posed by the panel.

The interview focuses primarily on Delegates' personal information, (e.g., hobbies, ambitions, etc.), but may include opinion questions that require general knowledge of social and current events.

Delegates wear a dress, cocktail or pant suit for Interview Competition.

Swimsuit Competition

Florida Galaxy Delegates and Titleholders must be physically fit, with good muscle tone and body proportion. 

Delegates may select a 1 or 2-piece Swimsuit.  The Swimsuit may have cut-outs, mesh, and/or embellishments.  Delegates must also bring a matching fabric scarf or sarong to model with Swimsuit.  Scarf may be any fabric, may be a solid color or print complementing your Swimsuit.  The scarf should be approximately 3' wide and 5'-6' in length.  Very small sarongs are not recommended. 

Swimsuit must be in good taste - No thongs allowed!  A solid color Swimsuit is recommended, but not required.  High heels, (e.g., acrylic, taupe, skin-tone), are recommended.  Sheer hose may be worn.

Fashion Competition

Florida Galaxy Delegates and Titleholders must be able to project their own personal sense of style.  This segment will be very much like a runway fashion show. 

Fashion outfits can be anything the Delegate feels represents a currently popular or stylish ensemble.  Attire is dressy-casual and may be a dress or pants outfit.  Delegates are encouraged to accessorize with earrings, jackets, hats, gloves, etc.  Accessories may be used as "props" for modeling.  Bare midriffs are acceptable but outfits must be tasteful and complement size and figure. 

Very casual attire is not recommended, (e.g., shorts, jeans, dockers).

Evening Gown

Florida Galaxy Delegates and Titleholders must carry themselves with dignity, grace, poise and elegance. 

Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the Delegate, (e.g., fit, color, style), as well as Delegate's on-stage presentation.  The Evening Gown must be floor length.  Since Galaxy is the Florida's Premier Glamour Pageant, teens are permitted to wear sophisticated, beaded gowns.
